Sand for Lawns is managed and maintained by Head Greenkeeper Gary Fischer who has a passion for domestic and commercial lawns.

Gary and has team has been resposible for maintaining some of the countries most prestigous golf fairways and greens.

With over 20 years of experience working with golf course maintenance there is very little Gary doesn't know and understand about turf and grass.

Gary's typical golf season week involves:

• Daily mowing of golf greens
• Grass haircuts 3 times per week
• Fairway and rough moving twice a week

Grass at Gary's courses is kept in optimum condition using computerised irrigation systems. The golf greens are the most time consuming element of the golf course to keep in prime condition. Every 4 weeks greens are fertilised using a liquid feed and scarified every two weeks. Twice a year Gary and his team aerate the soil and the resulting holes are filled with sand to help the grass roots thrive.

Gary is well aware of issues with moss and mold which can damage the grass and through his years of experience with lawn sand he continually maintains a healthy green colour throughout his golf course.

It is through his wealth of experience Gary is able to share advice and tips on maintaining your lawns and keeping it in optimum condition using Lawn Sand.
